Live Notam stream: (updated daily)

[wp-rss-aggregator sources="4971"]

I created a Notam feed for Emmerich area. (This is very much work in progress for me, I try to get only the info that is relevant for us. Right now I set up my preferences to show most info available.)

I saw this article on RC-Networks.de today, the author shows this safety thing is a difficult subject. I do notice some clubs have managed to get themselves a Notam, and they are shown on the map. I would love to have something like that!

To make things a bit more complicated, if you look at the control area for the Netherlands, you will see that we are under their command. So, not only have we got a start/landing permit from German soil, we fly across the  border in the Netherlands, ATC Netherlands applies for the area up to Emmerich.  Confused yet?  (on a previous map it clearly stated where ATC-Netherlands applied, can’t find it right now. Might  just be a mapping/software thing.)

it shows Menzelen club activity

Why I am interested? Let a picture tell the story. An R44 flying at 100 knots over our flying field. ‘If I don’t like it, I should send an email’ says the company who owns the heli. Who cares about safety, we have a right to fly low..

Scary when they fly rigth over your flying field.

Below is the live feed from the Notaminfo.com website. It’s data for the week ahead. Now all I need to work out is how to combine live flight data, with this map, and set some alarm if someone comes too close for comfort!

You need to create an account on the Notam site to see the contents, but it’s public info, so no secrets are told here.
